Mavelo ("we", "us", "our") is a design and development agency that builds websites and apps. We operate https://mavelo.io. This policy explains what data we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights over it. We are based in the United Arab Emirates.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you contact us or buy a service, we collect your name, email, company name, and any details you include in your messages.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we log basic usage data — your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent — through cookies and similar technologies.

We do not store your card details. Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card information goes directly to them and is governed by their privacy policy: https://stripe.com/privacy

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:

  • Essential cookies to run the site and remember your preferences.

  • Analytics cookies to understand how people use the site so we can improve it.

  • Advertising cookies to show you relevant ads (see below).

How we use your data

We use it to respond to enquiries, deliver and bill for our services, improve the website, and send you updates or offers (you can unsubscribe anytime). We keep it only as long as needed for these purposes or to meet our legal obligations.

We use Google Ads and Meta (Facebook) remarketing to show you our ads on other sites after you've visited ours. These use cookies tied to your past visits. You can opt out:

Who we share it with

We may also disclose it if required by law, or if Mavelo is involved in a merger or acquisition. With your permission, we may display your company's logo as a client reference.

Data transfers

Your data may be processed in the UAE and in other countries where our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than yours. By using our site, you consent to that transfer. We take reasonable steps to keep your data secure wherever it is processed.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or stop using your personal data, and we'll comply unless the law requires otherwise. If you're in the EU/EEA (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you have these rights by statute, including the right to a copy of your data and to object to processing. If you're in the UAE, the same rights apply under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL).

Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Our site may link to sites we don't operate. We're not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so we recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Children

Our site isn't intended for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we'll remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time and will post any changes here with a new effective date.
